A5 Wagyu Steaks are the Aston Martin's of steaks. Haha I laugh at myself as I say this, but if you've never had REAL wagyu beef from Japan, then you have GOT to treat yourself to this exquisite steak. 

Massaged in the fields of Gunma in Japan, not North of England as so many of the "wagyu"'s are in the UK. Read our article HERE for more information about wagyu!

Wagyu steak comes in different grades of A1 to A5 and A5 is the best and most marbled. It's a rich, buttery, fatty steak that just melts in your mouth. 

We recommend that sear it quickly on both sides in a smoking hot pan, then let it rest on a chopping board for a minute but to be honest, you can't overcook this meat so don't worry too much if you're a novice chef. 

What's included: 

  • 300G A5 Wagyu rib eye steak
  • Yuzu Kosho - a citrusy, peppery paste that's made for this steak (not actually but it just works brilliantly together. 
  • Nama Shoyu - by The Wasabi Company. We were so impressed with this delicious unpasteurised soy sauce that we HAD TO include it with this steak. A light dab of shoyu and yuzu kosho with this steak will blow you away. 

Recommended add on: 

We'd recommend that you order a couple of rice portions to pair with those mouthfuls of fatty beef. 

When would I buy this? 

  • Birthday or anniversary meal - you'd get a quarter of this in a fancy Japanese restaurant for £100. Here, you get to have a whole 300g steak with our favourite condiments for it.

How long will the food keep?

We recommend that you enjoy your food within 3 days, on Thursday evening, Friday or Saturday; Saturday evening latest.

If you're ordering a special occasion (e.g. limited edition Mother's Day special) box that's arriving on a Friday, then it's 3 days from then i.e. eat it by Sunday evening.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ORDER?

Please order by 10pm Monday to get it for the following Thursday OR you can book in advance - up to 4 weeks ahead.

After that cut off, you're order will go in the next week's delivery.

WHEN WILL YOU DELIVER?

We deliver your recipe box straight to your door on your chosen Thursday. DPD will notify you of a time slot for delivery and will leave it in your safe place if you're not in (just let them know!).

On special occasions we sometimes change the delivery date for that week to a Friday, but you'll be told about that at the time.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

We totally understand that sometimes plans change and sometimes we want to book a spontaneous plan!

Just email us at [email protected] by 9am on the Wednesday, day before your delivery so we can cancel prepping your food.

Can you cater for a special occasion?

Are you thinking about our boxes for a birthday, anniversary or special occasion?

We often send these boxes as a gift from you to loved ones. Just write in the comments box what personal message you'd like us to write and we'll pop a card in the box.

If you'd like them to choose what they want, a gift card might be an option too?
